TORONTO, Dec. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) - Masai Ujiri, president and general manager of the Toronto Raptors, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin and NBA legend John Sally joined other celebrities and sport stars on CIBC's trading floor in Toronto for CIBC Miracle Day to help raise millions for kids-in-need.
On the first Wednesday of every December, the sales and trading team from CIBC Capital Markets and the investment advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy donate their trading fees and commissions to organizations that support kids in communities across Canada. Through the efforts of employees and clients, $5.5 million was raised last year. Since 1984, nearly $79 million has been donated to hundreds of children's charities across Canada.
