Picket captains activated by OPSEU as MPAC strike deadline approaches
TORONTO, June 16, 2016 /CNW/ - With two hours remaining until the strike deadline for OPSEU members at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, negotiations between the two sides continue.
Picket captains and strike leads across the province have been asked by the bargaining team to have all preparations in place to set up morning pickets, pending a midnight announcement.
Should the employer refuse to offer a fair deal before the deadline, OPSEU members will be on strike effective 12:01 a.m. If this occurs, pickets will be set up across the province at 7:30 a.m.
