P.K. Subban and Snoop Dogg to host celebrity basketball game

MONTREAL, May 11, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Just for Laughs and JKA Entertainment are proud to join with the borough of Verdun for the presentation of a spectacular event: a charity celebrity basketball game featuring the teams of P.K. Subban, Montreal Canadiens star defender, and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg.

The celebrity basketball game will take place during Montreal's F1 Grand-Prix on Saturday, June 11th 2016, with an incredible list of celebrities facing off in the mythical Verdun Auditorium. Proceeds will benefit the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL.)

Snoop Dogg and P.K. Subban will be joined by a star-studded list of players, celebrating youth, the values of teamwork and good sportsmanship.  On the day of the event, numerous outdoor activities will be available for the whole family, including a tailgate for all ages. This will be the first time for Montreal to host to this many celebrities in one single charitable event.

These great names of sport, comedy and cinema will take place in our beautiful city to raise funds for the Montreal Children's Hospital, through P.K. Subban's foundation, and for Snoop Dogg's Youth Football League (SYFL).  

ABOUT SYFL

Snoop's non-profit work in the community is commendable, as he established the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) in 2005 to give children between the ages of five and 13 the opportunity to participate in youth football and cheer. SYFL teaches them the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, discipline, and academics. Today, SYFL boasts 30 teams, more than 1,200 players and over 75 cheerleaders.
