The Assembly of First Nations Québec-Labrador (AFNQL) will make sure that any development on the unceded territory, any development of the resources is made in agreement and participation, in the respect of their title and their Ancestral and Treaty Rights.
"Premier Couillard committed himself, in front of our Chiefs in Assembly, to include all First Nations in the development of the economy. We will make sure that he respects his commitment. We are and will be more and more a priority player in the development of the economy. The respect of our title and our Ancestral and Treaty Rights is an essential condition to the development of a harmonious relationship and will be beneficial to all development", affirm the AFNQL Interim Chiefs Committee.
