Planned outage to affect part of downtown Toronto core on December 16 from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m.
TORONTO, Dec. 15, 2018 /CNW/ - Hydro One and Toronto Hydro are advising 1,700 customers located in the downtown Toronto core of planned work required to replace a critical piece of equipment at Hydro One's Cecil Transmission Station. This work will help ensure continued reliability in the area and the station equipment must be de-energized for the duration of the job.
Who: 1,700 Toronto Hydro customers within the following boundaries: College Street south to Dundas Street and Huron Street East to University Avenue.
When: Sunday, December 16 from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Advice to customers:
- All Toronto Hydro customers affected by this planned outage will be contacted via auto-dialer. Customers requiring additional information should contact Toronto Hydro's Customer Care line at 416-542-8000.
- To help reduce traffic delays, members of the public should avoid the area for the duration of the outage.
- All streetlights without power should be treated as four-way stops.
