Planned power outage to upgrade electrical system in the Kingston area
TORONTO, Sept. 15 /CNW/ - Hydro One confirmed today there will be a planned power interruption Sunday, September 19, 2010 as the Company undertakes work to improve service and power reliability in the Kingston area. The planned power outage will allow for the installation of new switching equipment and other upgrades, and also permit concurrent upgrade work to take place in Hydro One's Butternut Power Distribution Station and the Frontenac Transmission Station.
The power outage has been scheduled from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday to minimize the impact on local homes and businesses.
