Playwright Jordan Tannahill and the NTS Acting Class of 2016 present TOTAL LIQUIDATION
The play-inside-a-rock-concert is inspired by the Quebec student protest movement
MONTREAL, Oct. 6, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - It's standing room only at Total Liquidation! Come for the music and the beer, stay for the drama. Governor General Award-winning playwright Jordan Tannahill —described as "...the poster child of a new generation of artists for whom "interdisciplinary" is not a buzzword, but a way of life" by The Globe and Mail—collaborated with the 11 graduating students of the NTS Acting program, over their 3-year training, to create Total Liquidation. Their inspiration: Montreal, its rich indie music scene and the recent Quebec student protest movement. This high-octane, devised play, carried by two student-led live punk and electropop bands, will be presented from October 20 to 24, at the Hydro-Québec Studio of the Monument-National within an immersive, 360 degree environment.
