Polaris appoints Eugene Martineau to the Board
VANCOUVER, March 18 /CNW/ - Polaris Minerals Corporation (TSX: PLS) today announced the appointment of Mr. Eugene ('Gene') Martineau to the Board of Directors.
Roman Shklanka, Chairman of Polaris, commented: "Gene Martineau will be an invaluable addition to the Polaris Board. Mr. Martineau has over 40 years experience in the ready mixed concrete and related industries, our principal market, and was the founder and first President and CEO of U.S. Concrete Inc., a public company which, under his management, became one of the largest ready mixed concrete producers in the United States."
Dr. Shklanka further noted that Mr. Martineau has been a leader in research and education in the concrete industry and, following exceptional service as a director and Executive Committee member of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, he has been elected as a lifetime honorary director. "We look forward to having his wisdom and experience on the Polaris Board as we continue to move forward with our business plan."
Mr. Martineau's appointment to the Board is subject to TSX approval.
