Pollard Banknote Awarded New Contract by Totalizator Sportowy (Polish National Lottery)
WINNIPEG, MB, Feb. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard Banknote) is pleased to announce that Totalizator Sportowy (Polish National Lottery) has awarded Pollard Banknote a one year contract for instant lottery tickets. This contract, under which Pollard Banknote will remain the primary supplier of instant tickets to the Polish lottery, includes the possibility of five 12-month extensions and has an estimated contract value of over $4 million USD per year.
Pollard Banknote first collaborated with Totalizator Sportowy in 2007. Since then, the Lottery has seen over 360% growth in total instant sales. The most recent success was the 5 złoty game Ekstra Pensja, launched in March 2012. This ticket, which uses Pollard Banknote's exclusive Scratch FX® technology, achieved 10-week average sales of 1.66 złoty million compared to the previously launched 5 złoty game of 627,542 złoty —accounting for a 164% difference and has resulted in a number of new 5 złoty games launching in 2013.
