Pomeroy Inn & Suites Inc. announced as Naming Partner of Community Facility
in Fort St. John, BC

- Pomeroy joins nine other corporate partners in one of the best-supported corporate sponsorship drives for a community facility in Canada -

FORT ST. JOHN, BC, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - With one of the largest commitments ever made to a community facility in Canada, the North Peace Region's own Pomeroy Inn & Suites Inc. has announced their naming rights sponsorship of the Fort St. John Enerplex, to be renamed the Pomeroy Sport Centre.

President of the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Inc. Ryan Pomeroy made the official announcement yesterday at the facility's Grand Opening in the company of Premier Gordon Campbell and Olympic Gold Medalist Denny Morrison.

"As a family company with deep roots in the Fort St. John region, we are extremely proud to be the naming partner for the new Pomeroy Sport Centre. We anticipate that this first-class complex will become one of the premier training facilities in North America and will attract and develop talent at a local, provincial and world-class level. The Pomeroy Inn & Suites Inc. joins nine other corporate partners in one of the best-supported corporate sponsorship drives for a community facility in Canada. With sponsorship totals nearing $3 million over the next 15 years to directly support programming and enliven the facility, Mayor Bruce Lantz joined BC Premier Gordon Campbell in applauding the corporate partners that work and live in the North Peace Region.

"When we shared our bold vision for what the facility could become for the families of Fort St. John, the corporate community really embraced the opportunity to get involved", said Mayor Bruce Lantz. "We very much look forward to working with all of them to develop innovative programming in the areas of youth education, sport development, environmental stewardship and community enrichment."
