MONTREAL, Jan. 27, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Everything is in place at Parc Jean-Drapeau for the second weekend of the Fête des neiges de Montréal, which opens at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. There is a wide range of winter activities on the program, including dogsled rides, tube sliding, snowshoeing, giant foosball and, of course, the new Snow Village.
"The Parc Jean-Drapeau team has been working hard all week to set up a safe and accommodating site, despite being faced with some challenging weather conditions," stated Nathalie Lessard, spokesperson for the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau. "The entire population is invited to come and play outdoors and enjoy everything the Fête des neiges has to offer."
Some of the other featured activities include the Mysnow Experience introduction to downhill skiing for children aged 5 to 8 ― and Mysnow Experience even lends the skis. Youngsters attending the Fête can also see a trampoline-wall acrobatic show, try out the zip-line and explore the amazing world of Parc Jean-Drapeau to the fullest. And they are sure to meet up with the event's friendly mascot Boule de Neige and the dynamic comedian, Yan England, who will both be strolling around the site. Every visitor will be able to rent skates, snowshoes, cross-country skis and sleds.
The Fête des neiges is definitely Montrealers' must-see winter event. For all the details about this major festival, please go to:
