Porsche Canada announces 2011 model year pricing
MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 31 /CNW/ - Porsche Canada today announced pricing for 2011 model year Cayenne, Panamera and sports cars.
All-new Cayenne starts at $58,200
Larger, better-performing and up to 23 per cent more fuel efficient than the 2010 models, the next-generation Cayenne goes on sale in July in Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo forms, with Cayenne and Cayenne S Hybrid following in the fall. Pricing for the V6-powered Cayenne starts at $58,200, Cayenne S is $76,000, Cayenne S Hybrid is $80,800 and the 500-hp Cayenne Turbo is $123,900.
Better-equipped than ever before, all Canadian Cayenne models feature standard heated front seats with memory package, automatic climate control, heated multifunction steering wheel, power liftgate and a touchscreen infotainment interface. Bluetooth, Universal Audio Interface and floor mats are also standard.
V6-powered Cayennes now feature 18-inch wheels, while the Cayenne Turbo now comes with 19-inch wheels.
As always, a long list of optional features allows Porsche customers to tailor the new Cayenne to meet their exact needs. Notable new options include new wheel designs in sizes up to 21 inches, Porsche Active Suspension Management for steel-suspension vehicles, adaptive cruise control, three-spoke sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and a 1,000-plus-watt Burmester audio system.
New V6 Panamera starts at $88,000; more standard equipment on V8 models
For 2011, the Panamera lineup grows with the addition of two V6-powered models, Panamera and Panamera 4. Powered by a 300-hp, Porsche-designed 90-degree V6, Panamera ($88,000) and Panamera 4 ($92,800) both feature Porsche's PDK double-clutch gearbox, new-design 18-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and navigation system with touchscreen interface as part of a long list of standard features.
The V8-powered Panamera S ($115,100), Panamera 4S ($120,300) and 500-hp Panamera Turbo ($155,000) are priced at the same level as their 2010 equivalents, despite the inclusion of Bluetooth integration, Universal Audio Interface and floor mats as standard equipment for 2011.
New options for all 2011 Panamera models include new 20-inch wheel designs, three-spoke sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and two new interior colour combinations, Marsala Red and two-tone Marsala Red/Cream.
Lower prices on many sports cars; more standard equipment
Thanks to an alignment in standard equipment levels with the United States, several Porsche sports cars have lower list prices than their 2010 equivalents. At $58,000, the 2011 Boxster is $1,600 less expensive, while a 911 Carrera is $2,600 less than the 2010 model. On an equipment-adjusted basis, 2011 mid-engined cars are between 1.6 and 2.1 per cent less expensive than 2010 models.
In addition to reduced prices on many models, 2011 sports cars, like all Porsche vehicles except for the hardcore Boxster Spyder, 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS, now feature Bluetooth integration, universal audio interface and floor mats as standard. (On the three track-focused sports cars, the above features are available at no extra charge.)
911 Turbo S priced at $200,000
New for 2011, the 911 Turbo S, the ultimate everyday Porsche sports car, is priced at $200,000 ($213,200 for the cabriolet). Even more extreme - and better-equipped - than the 911 Turbo, it features a more-powerful 530-hp engine, standard PDK double-clutch gearbox, ceramic brakes, centre-locking RS Spyder wheels, adaptive sport seats, 6-disc CD/DVD changer and other enhancements as standard equipment.
