OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - In support of Porsche's re-entry into the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans car race, Porsche Centre Oakville hosted an epic event to coincide with the race, which lasted 24 hours and brought more than 500 guests to its facility. Upon review of all global submissions over the past few months, the success of the June 14th celebration has earned Porsche Centre Oakville first place in the Porsche AG marketing competition recognizing them within the global Porsche network for marketing innovation.

With the 24 Hours of Le Mans event, guests were continually impressed: Activities included a family BBQ, popcorn station and ice cream truck, as well as face painting and facility tours. There was even a Junior Grand Prix, which included a 65-foot-long inflatable racetrack for kids of all ages to race Porsche peddle cars. For those who didn't want to miss the World Cup, Porsche Centre Oakville created a custom World Cup Lounge that played the matches day and night and provided a foosball table to stir up the viewers' competitive edge. The legendary transformation of a Porsche 2010 997 GT3 RS into a Le Mans race car, complete with iconic red roll cage and a Le Mans-inspired vehicle wrap, provided a final spectacle that kept guests in awe. The revamped vehicle was unveiled—fittingly—during the event's twenty-fourth, and final, hour.
