About Sail-in Cinema (www.sailincinema.com)
Sail-In Cinema™, presented by PortsToronto, is the world's first two-sided floating movie experience of its kind. The free film festival transforms Toronto's Sugar Beach into an outdoor movie theatre over three nights. Movies are chosen by public vote and shown under the open skies on a large, digital, two-sided screen set atop a barge in Toronto Harbour, allowing moviegoers to enjoy the films by land or by boat. The inaugural Sail-In Cinema™ was held in 2011 to mark PortsToronto's centennial year. The annual event attracts more than 10,000 people on land and 100 boats over the two-day period and is now a permanent fixture on Toronto's summer calendar.
