Powerful, Quiet Cleaning with Smart Details that Lighten the Load
Samsung introduces PowerFoam technology and full Woolmark certification with its latest laundry pair
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 26 /CNW/ - Laundry rooms across Canada will be getting a lot bubblier this summer after the release of Samsung Electronics Canada's latest washing machine that converts detergent into foam.
The WF520 Washer has been innovatively designed with the PowerFoam feature to take simple laundry detergent and transform it into a mass of tiny bubbles that can attack deep stains faster than normal detergent alone. PowerFoam works hand in hand with Samsung's Eco Cold Wash feature, which allows the foam to work its magic just as effectively as a warm water cycle, but using only half the energy. The result is cleaner clothes at a lower cost.
Complementing the washer is the DV520 Dryer, which is the first Woolmark certified tumble dryer in North America. This latest laundry pair promises superb cleaning efficiency and fabric care of the highest standard, meaning now even wool or wool-blend garments can be safely laundered in the home.
"Samsung's latest laundry pair does everything except fold your clothes and put them away," said Warner Doell, vice president, Home Appliance division, Samsung Electronics Canada. "We have gone to great lengths to increase capacity, reduce energy consumption and add innovative features like steam cleaning and PowerFoam that make a simple task like doing laundry faster, simpler and more efficient - freeing up precious time for more important things in life."
The pair also features advanced Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) and steam drying to make it one of the most cutting edge washer-dryer pairs on the market. The WF520 front-loading washer boasts the industry's largest capacity at 5.0 cu.ft., and comes with VRT Plus which uses 3D sensors to improve handling of unbalanced loads and produces a smooth and whisper-quiet operation - perfect for main-floor and second-floor installations.
"A messy kitchen may be a sign of a good meal, but a messy chef is simply unacceptable," said Massimo Capra, celebrity chef and restaurateur. "Samsung's new washing machine with PowerFoam technology easily cleans the toughest stains, like tomato sauce and red wine, so I'm always looking my best when I visit my restaurant patrons at the table. "
The DV520 front-loading dryer also boasts the industry's largest capacity at 7.5 cu.ft., large enough for a king-sized comforter or 28 bath towels. Its Steam Refresh and Steam WrinkleCare cycles infuse clothes with steam to reduce wrinkles, remove odours and refresh clothing. A Sensor Dry setting allows the dryer to detect the moisture level in the load and adjust the drying time accordingly to save time and reduce energy consumption. Furthermore, a mixed-load bell sounds when lighter garments can be taken out, leaving heavier and thicker clothes that require longer drying time to be dried quicker.
Samsung's WF520 and DV520 high-capacity, front-loading laundry pair is visually striking and available in Stainless Platinum. The duo is also extremely space friendly, with the choice of being stacked, placed side-by-side or mounted on optional pedestal drawers. The WF520 and DV520 have an MSRP of $1999.99 and $1499.99 respectively and are available at all major appliance retailers.
