PR Associates adds new Vice President as part of expansion plan

VANCOUVER, Jan. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - PR Associates is pleased to announce that Erin Driscoll, a communication professional with more than 20 years of experience supporting a wide-range of public and private organizations, has joined the company in the role of Vice President.

The appointment comes as PR Associates expands its mining-industry public relations and communication services into new markets. Since it was founded five years ago, PR Associates has grown to become Canada's largest mining PR and communication consultancy by helping clients earn trust and build strong lasting relationships. In 2013, PR Associates will offer its expertise to a wider industry audience connected to mining, such as clean-tech, infrastructure and skills development, to name a few.

Erin's key role will be to manage the company's corporate communication practice and ensure the highest standards continue to be met.

"My career has been largely about engaging people in delivering on business strategy, and my volunteer life has been about inspiring professional excellence," says Erin. "To do both these things really well involves creating clearly defined goals and processes that support execution. I'm very excited to be joining a dynamic business where these passions can be applied to the company's growth plan."

Erin joins the company after 10 years in the corporate world and 15 as independent communication consultant, helping a wide variety of organizations develop strategies to meet their business objectives. Her credentials include accreditation from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and an Honours Degree, Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor. She has also been actively involved as a volunteer for the BC Chapter of the IABC for over 17 years, serving as President and in various roles on the Board of Directors, chairing the national level awards program and leadership conference, and serving on the National Programs Council.
