TORONTO, Feb. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - The PR landscape is undergoing unparalleled change, and young professionals need to be on top of their game to lead the way forward. That's why the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms (CCPRF), in partnership with the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), is hosting a third annual Boot Camp - a full day of learning, discussion, networking and exciting forward-thinking speakers for agency communicators on Friday, March 1 in Toronto.
"It's important to provide young PR professionals with opportunities to hear from leading experts and expand their minds during a time of change in our industry," said David Gordon, Chair of the CCPRF. "With an outstanding keynote address and nine professional development sessions, we are giving budding practitioners a rich experience that will inspire them and unlock new ways of thinking."
A highlight of the Boot Camp is keynote speaker, Jeremy Gutsche. Gutsche is founder of the world's leading trend-spotting website, Trendhunter.com, which highlights what's new in the marketing, design and technology fields. With his familiarity in corporate strategy and Web 2.0, he authored the award-winning book, Exploiting Chaos. Gutsche will speak about creating innovative ideas, stimulating creativity and unlocking potential in business during times of change.
Other topics include personal branding, strategic thinking, building relationships and social media. Sessions will be led by the owners/operators of Canada's top PR firms, as well as outside experts, including bloggers and marketers.
The CCPRF Boot Camp is intended for PR agency professionals with three to five years consulting experience, but is open to any PR/communications practitioners interested in sharpening their skill set. There are still a few spaces available. Early Bird Registration ends Friday, Feb. 15
