TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2016 /CNW/ - With a week's worth of data now available for Tuesday, Sept. 20, the second night of Premiere Week, Numeris data shows that highly anticipated new series THIS IS US is a hit with younger audiences. Following a series trailer that was viewed more than eight million times on YouTube before the series premiered, the poignant and funny drama has become Canada's top new series among millennials aged 18-34. Tuesday's premiere was watched by 1.8 million viewers on CTV, delivering double-digit growth with total viewers and in all key demos at 10 p.m. over the same timeslot last fall.
The Season 4 premiere of MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. was also a hit with millennials, data reveals, with the series ranking as the top Tuesday program with A18-34. MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.'s return was watched by 1.4 million total viewers.
Tonight on CTV (Sept. 27), Jason O'Mara (COMPLICATIONS) guest stars as the new Director with a bold agenda on MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Vice President Joe Biden makes a cameo on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and Kevin (Justin Hartley) faces the aftermath of quitting his job as he deals with his agent, Lanie (Katey Sagal, Pitch Perfect 2), on THIS IS US at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
