Michel Le Baron was one of the key drivers behind the Comité Juno Canada Normandie, a French organization that co-ordinates ceremonies commemorating the contribution of Canadian soldiers to the war effort in France. Dedicated to strengthening the ties between France and Canada, the organization aims to raise awareness in future generations of the war efforts and sacrifices of Canadians.
About the Meritorious Service Decorations (Civil Division)
The Meritorious Service Decorations are separated into military and civil divisions, with two levels each: a cross and a medal. Created in 1991, the Civil Division recognizes individuals who have performed an exceptional deed or activity that brought honour to their community or to Canada.
