MONTREAL, Sept. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - The students, staff, faculty, administration and professionals of Dawson College have witnessed first hand the murderous violence that guns cause. Together, the licensing and registration of firearms are effective in protecting public safety.

Representatives of the Dawson Teachers Union (DTU), the Dawson Support Staff Union (DSSU), the Dawson Students Union (DSU), the Association of Dawson Professionals (ADP) and the Dawson College administration, as well as Mrs. Louise De Sousa will be on hand to represent the unified voice of the Dawson community and to call on all Canadians to demand that their federal MPs vote against bill C-391, support the maintenance of the Long Gun Registry and expand efforts to control and license all firearms in this country.
