Renowned Parliamentarians and Experts to Testify at Opening Hearing

OTTAWA , Oct. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - The All-Party Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Antisemitism, Chaired by Scott Reid , MP will launch its first ever Canadian Parliamentary Inquiry into Antisemitism in Canada and beyond, Chaired by Mario Silva , MP.

A press conference will be held on Monday, November 2nd, 2009 , at the corrected time of 10:30 am in the Charles Lynch Press Gallery (130-S Centre Block) House of Commons, Ottawa .

The press conference will feature Members of Parliament with international expertise on antisemitism who will be opening the Hearing immediately following the press conference.

       "Globalizing Hatred: The New Anti-Semitism"
    -  Prof. Gert Weisskirchen, former OSCE Personal Representative of the
       Chairman-in-Office on Combating Antisemitism, and member of the German
       Bundestag
    -  Hon. Irwin Cotler, Chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for
       Combating Antisemitism, and Canadian member of Parliament
    

The Parliamentary Inquiry Hearing will be held from 11am - 2pm in Room 253-D Centre Block House of Commons, Ottawa .
