MONTREAL, April 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Alternatives invites you to meet Iraqi human rights advocates and journalists who, with the American withdrawal months away, will reflect on the seven-year occupation and propose their programme for the Iraq of tomorrow.
As part of Iraqi Solidarity Week, from April 12 to 22 2010, 15 Iraqis will be attending meetings with Canadian civil society and the government to emphasize the essential role that international solidarity plays in supporting the reconciliation and reconstruction of Iraq, and in preventing the country from descending back into chaos.

M. Haval Zexoyi, editor-in-chief of the Iraqi liberal paper Al-Ahali.
Mrs. Fatima Fadhil founded the Iraqi Assembly for Supporting the Families of Martyrs and the Disappeared after her husband went missing in 1980s. In 2004, she founded Iraqi Rising Women.
Mrs. Shemiran Odesho, director of an Assyrian cultural organization, Assur Banipal, and member of the Iraqi Women's League and the Iraqi Democratic Future Network.
