Press conference tomorrow: Local coalition calls on Thunder Bay MPs John
Rafferty and Bruce Hyer to support the gun registry
THUNDER BAY, ON, Sept. 14 /CNW/ - A local coalition is calling on Thunder Bay MPs John Rafferty and Bruce Hyer to vote in favour of keeping the national long gun registry at a press conference scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday September 15 at 12 noon.
The coalition is made up of labour, the Thunder Bay Police Service, the Faye Peterson Transition House and the Northwestern Ontario Women's Centre, all of whom are urging the two MPs to preserve public safety and maintain the registry in the House of Commons vote scheduled for next week.
