Canadian Red Cross sees a 25% increase in contributions this afternoon

TORONTO , Jan. 18 /CNW/ - In an interview with Charles Adler on today's Operation Haiti radiothon featured on Corus' news-talk network, The Right Honourable Stephen Harper , Prime Minister of Canada , praised Canadians for their efforts in assisting the people of Haiti .

The Prime Minister also praised the efforts of the Canadian Armed Forces, recognized the Canadian and worldwide response to the people of Haiti and acknowledged the challenges that are being faced as the world reacts to this terrible tragedy.
