Primus Canada adds smartphones, new data plans to national wireless offering

Smartphones and comprehensive data plans further enhance Primus Canada's expanded wireless footprint

TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc, the country's largest alternative communications carrier, today introduced the addition of smartphones and an expanded coast-to-coast wireless service area for Primus Canada customers.

Primus is now offering customers smartphones, marking the latest step the company is taking to cement its commitment to providing Canadians with an affordable way to stay connected with friends and family anywhere, at anytime. In addition, Primus Canada's wireless service area has expanded and can now provide 94 per cent of Canadians with enhanced voice, text and data packages.

"Canadian consumers are among the most connected and tech savvy in the world so we wanted to provide the latest technology to ensure their mobile needs are met," said Rob Warden, Vice President Residential Marketing and Sales for Primus Canada. "The addition of smartphones, as well as the latest in affordable talk, text and data plans, further bolsters Primus Canada's growing wireless offering and underscores our ongoing commitment to keeping Canadians connected."

The expanded offering provides Primus Canada mobile customers with a range of handsets including the HTC Magic+ and Nokia 6790 smartphones. Both are available to Canadians through Primus Canada's 'More Talk and Surf' plans, which range from $50-$55 per month. Primus Canada has also added new 'More Talk and Text' plans, which start at $15 per month.
