Seven data centres across Canada fully compliant

(OTCBB: PMUG), today announced that the company has successfully achieved full Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) Section 5970 Type B and Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II certifications for Primus' seven data centres across Canada. As the highest available standards for measuring data centre operations and management, these industry classifications are confirmed through an independent auditor's findings. By completing these three designations, Primus is demonstrating its commitment to provide the necessary controls and data security safeguards required by data centre providers and further underscores Primus' overall leadership in professional standards regarding internal controls.

CICA 5970 Type B Certification

CICA 5970 is a Canadian standard administered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Designation under this program encompasses specific requirements for service providers managing customer data and focuses heavily in the areas of compliance, security and access. In addition, this certification addresses the topics of backup and recovery, computer operations and facility infrastructure.

SAS 70 Type II Certification

The SAS 70 is issued by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to service organizations that typically offer outsourced services, such as Primus Data Centres.  An auditor's report details the ability for a service provider's ability to offer adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers.

PCI Compliance

PCI Compliance is an adherence of the PCI Data Security Standard policies and procedures for increasing credit card account data security.  It applies to all organisations worldwide that accept, store, process or transmit credit card details. Primus' adherence to these standards assures companies that the processing of sensitive credit card data is in a controlled and secure environment.
