<p><span class="xn-location">SINGAPORE</span>, <span class="xn-chron">Aug. 13</span> /CNW/ -- Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) today announced the first in a series of global 'Thank You Mom' initiatives at the inaugural <span class="xn-location">Singapore</span> 2010 Youth Olympic Games, an international multi-sport event that features athletes between the ages of 14 and 18.  Recognizing the essential role that families play in an Olympic athlete's life, P&G is defraying travel and lodging costs for 25 moms from across the globe so that they can share their child's Youth Olympic Games experience in <span class="xn-location">Singapore</span>.</p>

<p>Moms of Youth Olympic athletes from <span class="xn-location">Argentina</span>, <span class="xn-location">Australia</span>, <span class="xn-location">Canada</span>, <span class="xn-location">France</span>, <span class="xn-location">Germany</span>, <span class="xn-location">Indonesia</span>, Korea, <span class="xn-location">Malaysia</span>, the <span class="xn-location">Philippines</span>, <span class="xn-location">Poland</span>, <span class="xn-location">Singapore</span>, <span class="xn-location">South Africa</span>, <span class="xn-location">Turkey</span>, the <span class="xn-location">United Kingdom</span> and the <span class="xn-location">United States</span> will be recognized at a P&G Thank You Mom reception in advance of the Opening Ceremony for the Youth Olympic Games.</p>

<p>The 'Thank You Mom' campaign, which launched at the <span class="xn-location">Vancouver</span> 2010 Olympic Winter Games, will continue with a series of initiatives after <span class="xn-location">Singapore</span>, through the <span class="xn-location">London</span> 2012 Olympic Games.  Thank You Mom initiatives will support thousands of moms from around the world during events such as holidays, Mother's Day and qualifying events for Olympic teams.</p>
