Product of the Year Canada Unveils the Most Innovative New Products for 2014

- Product of the Year guides Canadians to the best, most innovative products in the marketplace - 

TORONTO, April 16, 2014 /CNW/ - At a celebration held in downtown Toronto last night, 39 new products were awarded the Product of the Year Canada™ seal of approval. From food and spirits to health and beauty products, these award-winners were all singled out for their innovation. 

For the past 27 years, Product of the Year™ has been the gold standard worldwide for consumer-voted product innovation for hundreds of brands. In Canada for the fifth year, the program provides guidance and quality assurance to shoppers.

How are they chosen?
After products are entered into Product of the Year Canada™, they are tested and reviewed by an expert jury panel made up of product experts, academics and media personalities who choose the finalists. The selected products are then presented to consumer respondents and are rated on four distinct variables: Product Satisfaction, Product Innovation, Product Appeal and Intent to Purchase. From this group of finalists, 39 Canadian winners were chosen.
