Product Recall Notice - Husqvarna Canada Recalls Poulan Pro Snow Throwers Due
to Fire Hazard

MISSISSAUGA, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - The following product recall is being voluntarily conducted by the Company. Consumers should stop using the product immediately and (1) drain the fuel tank to prevent an unexpected leak or (2) turn the fuel shut-off valve to the closed position, and return the unit to a servicing dealer as soon as possible for a complete repair and replacement at no cost to them.

Poulan Pro Snow Thrower Model Number PP265E27 
(PNC # 961980028)

Units:	About 2,000.
Manufacturer:	Husqvarna Consumer Outdoor Products N.A., Inc.
Hazard:	The carburetor can fail in some units allowing a gasoline leak, therein posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries:	The Company has received no reports of fire or injury.
Description:	The recalled snow throwers are propelled by gasoline engines.  The snow throwers have 12.24 foot pound torque engines and are bright black with Poulan Pro decals on both sides.  This recall includes the model number: PP265E27 (PCN # 961980028) which can be identified by the model designation on the data plate located on the right side frame.
Sold At:	Home Depot, other mass merchants and retailers nationwide from September 2009 through February 2010 for about $999.99.
Assembled In:	United States.
Product Solution:	Owners of these machines should immediately stop using them and (1) drain the fuel tank to prevent an unexpected leak or (2) turn the fuel shut-off valve to the closed position (Refer to page 10 of Operator Manual) and return the unit to a servicing dealer as soon as possible for a complete repair and replacement at no cost to them.
