Productivity Rises 25 Percent Just Days After Toronto Printer Fires Up New Xerox iGen 150 Press

TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Sherwood Printers, one of the leading wholesale print suppliers in the Greater Toronto Area, experienced a productivity increase of more than 25 percent within days of operating the new Xerox iGen™ 150 Press.

Sherwood Printers, the second customer worldwide to purchase the iGen 150 Press, recognized that the press' fast production time and repeatable image quality would help improve line screens and detail around fine text.

• A new 2,400 x 2,400 dpi imaging system - the most precise resolution available on an iGen system to date. New line screen delivers refined shape, sharp detail and text quality.
  
  
• An Auto Density Control System detects and corrects streaks before they occur.
  
  
• Automated Color Maintenance that eliminates manual steps by analyzing color and notifying the operator when the press is ready for production.

The press also can handle a range of paper stocks such as textured, translucent and heavy cover-weight papers. Print providers can easily create mixed paper jobs such as direct-mail campaigns with tear-out reply postcards or wedding albums.
