MONTREAL, Jan. 26, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - For the third consecutive year, Professionals' Financial has distinguished itself by winning a 2016 FundGrade A+ trophy awarded by Fundata Canada Inc. This honour recognizes the superior risk-adjusted performance of the FDP Balanced Income Portfolio throughout 2016.
Obtaining a FundGrade A+ rating denotes a very high level of competence and inclusion in an elite group, since only 4% of the investment fund products available in Canada (out of a total of more than 35,000 eligible products tracked by Fundata) have received this rating.
"Professionals' Financial's mutual funds stood out for their effective risk management and their stability," explains François Landry, Senior Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer of Professionals' Financial. "Receiving this FundGrade A+ trophy from Fundata is a source of great pride for the entire team and confirms the Financial's prominent position in Canada's financial industry."
Fundata's FundGrade rating system identifies Canadian funds that have achieved superior risk-adjusted performance relative to their peers. To obtain an A+ rating, a fund must not only be among the top performers but also show a high level of stability.

Over a two-year period, 77% of the Financial's funds ranked in the first two quartiles and, over three years, 83%, an excellent performance that benefits client portfolios.
The FDP Balanced Income Portfolio ranks 30th in the percentile rank of its category over a four-year period according to Morningstar rankings. This fund offers attractive risk characteristics in terms of the volatility of both its fixed-income and equity holdings.
