MONTREAL, July 18, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Richard Bergeron, leader of Projet Montréal and the party's candidate for mayor, accompanied by Nathalie Goulet, mayoral candidate in Villeray-St-Michel-Parc Extension and by Michael Labelle, mayoral candidate in Pierrefonds-Roxboro, today revealed the financing rules which apply to their party.
"Projet Montréal, since its founding in 2004, has always gone beyond the applicable laws regarding financing and we will make no exception this year. Our party, by deep conviction, wants to be able to run politics differently and to do so with less money. For the past 10 years, we have opted to abide by financing rules stricter than those imposed on us by the law. Political parties should fight each other in the arena of ideas; not the arena of which can raise the most money," declared Bergeron.
