PROMENADE'S SECOND EXCLUSIVE SHOPPING NIGHT PROVES A GREAT SUCCESS
JEANS 'N JEWELS BENEFITS RETHINK BREAST CANCER WITH UNIQUE EVENT CONCEPT
THORNHILL, ON, Nov. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - On Thursday, October 21, Promenade hosted its second Jeans 'n Jewels fundraising event. This exclusive shopping evening was held in support of Rethink Breast Cancer and featured an evening of in-store discounts and special offers, a VIP lounge, gourmet food samplings, and live musical entertainment by local artist Dunstan Morey. Promenade's fashion guru, Yael Panet, hosted a denim workshop to offer advice on the best jeans to suit any body shape. Ticketholders were treated with VIP status, which granted special access to discounts at over 80 participating retailers and the gourmet sampling lounge.
"Promenade takes pride in supporting causes such as Rethink," states Lisa Resnic, Senior Marketing Director of Promenade Shopping Centre. "Providing a good shopping opportunity while raising funds for breast cancer awareness gave our participants great satisfaction. It was incredible to see the whole community come together in such a positive way!"
The event saw sales of close to 300 tickets with proceeds going directly to Rethink Breast Cancer. Swag bags were also available for purchase with donations made by Promenade's retailers, raising almost $6,000 for the charity.
