Evolo S will welcome first occupants in 2017
MONTREAL, June 22, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Proment Corporation today began construction of Evolo S, the third residential tower in the Pointe-Nord neighbourhood on Nuns' Island. Two condo buyers, Marc Massad and Anne-Judith Bélanger, took part in the spade-turning ceremony together with representatives of the developer, the architects and landscape architects and the mayor of Verdun Jean-Francois Parenteau. The Evolo S tower will offer 194 units and welcome its first occupants in 2017. " We are witnessing the creation of a visionary neighborhood, the concept of a walkable community which prioritizes the pedestrian. This will be one of the nicest neighborhoods in Montreal, planned according to the principles of Sustainability and certified LEED ND."
Inauguration of the Evolo S project coincides with the start of construction of the new Champlain Bridge, scheduled to be completed in December 2018, just eighteen months after the delivery date for Evolo S. "A station that serves users of the new bridge's high-speed transit system will be installed on Pointe-Nord. This will obviously be a tremendous asset," said Proment vice-president, development and construction, Louis-Joseph Papineau.
Evolo S - a privileged location
Evolo S will enjoy a privileged location in the island's most dynamic neighbourhood, offering unobstructed views of the river and the downtown skyline. The 25-storey building will feature well-designed condominiums ranging from 685 to 2,600 square feet, catering to the tastes of contemporary buyers. In addition, residents will enjoy the benefits of modern common areas, including not only a fully equipped gym but also a Nordic spa providing a unique thermal experience, and an outdoor swimming pool set in landscaped gardens with a view of the river. Special attention has been devoted to the tower's overall design and its interiors, under the eyes of two architectural firms, Jean-Pierre Bart and Forme Studio, interior designer Alain Desgagné and landscape architects Projet Paysage.
Pointe-Nord - a one-of-a-kind community
Enthusiasm for the Pointe-Nord neighbourhood and its properties has continued unabated since its launch in 2009. Pointe-Nord provides an entirely new dimension to Nuns' Island, and a different lifestyle as well. What sets it apart is its original mix of boutiques, restaurants and food shops accessible on foot to visitors and residents, its proximity to major road arteries and public transit lines, its waterfront location just five minutes from downtown, and its parks and paths along the river. "We firmly believe that the high-quality of life offered at Pointe-Nord will ensure that there will always be demand for buildings like Evolo S," said Ilan Gewurz, vice-president of Proment Corporation. "We are proud to be starting construction ahead of schedule."
