/CNW Telbec/ - Montréal Fashion Week will soon be upon us, and several public figures will be supporting local fashion designers for the occasion.
Mrs. Catherine
Sévigny, member of the Montréal Executive Committee responsible for culture, is pleased to announce that public personalities from all backgrounds will be answering the Montréal Fashion Bureau's call to promote the Montréal fashion industry by showing off clothes made by local designers.
On
October 13
, more than a dozen well-know TV and radio personalities will emphasize style diversity, as well as focus on the vitality and creative talent of Montréal designers. The "Red Carpet" event, to be held in the late afternoon, will be the highlight of this media event. "The cooperation received from everyone was just great. The designers and media personalities were thrilled to take part in the extravaganza. This event is an exceptional showcase for local fashion designers, and I hope that it will help to establish new partnerships," said Catherine Sévigny.
Montréal is recognized as a centre of creativity and as one of three production centres in
North America
