GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 5, 2017 /CNW/ - Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that steam will be released at low pressure from Parliament Hill's West Block construction site on September 5, 2017, between 5 pm and 9 pm. This will cause a continuous noise, with a plume of steam, to emanate from near the southwest corner of the Centre Block for approximately 4 hours. The effect will be similar to a previous steam blow-off on the Hill.
The release of steam is being carried out to clean the underground pipes.
For more information about the work underway, consult the web page about the rehabilitation of the West Block.
Parliament Hill will remain open. PSPC thanks visitors for their patience.
