OTTAWA–GATINEAU, May 26, 2019 /CNW/ - Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that the Union Bridge on the Chaudiere Crossing has been inspected and is safe for use.
On Monday, May 27, at 7 am, the crossing will reopen for pedestrians and cyclists only. The Union Bridge will reopen to public transit on Wednesday, May 29, at 5 am.
As previously announced, the Union Bridge will remain closed until August 2019 to all private, commercial and truck traffic until the completion of the planned construction work in support of the residential and commercial development along the Booth Street/Eddy Street corridor.
PSPC continues to work with its partners to minimize disruptions to commuters.
