OTTAWA, Jan. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada's Public Policy Forum will honour four Canadians for their outstanding contributions to public policy and governance, at its signature event on April 16, 2015. Premier Kathleen Wynne will chair the Forum's 28th Annual Testimonial Dinner & Awards in Toronto, where more than a thousand leaders from all sectors of Canadian society will gather to pay tribute to the distinguished leaders.
"For those who care deeply about public policy and good Canadian governance, our Dinner is an annual 'homecoming'," says David Mitchell, President & CEO of the Public Policy Forum. "It's the most significant event of its kind and promises, once again, to be very memorable this year."
In its great pan-Canadian, multi-sectoral tradition, the Forum will honour the following leaders at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre:
Ed Clark, Former Group President & Chief Executive Officer, TD Bank Group
Peter Herrndorf, President & Chief Executive Officer, National Arts Centre
Roberta Jamieson, President & Chief Executive Officer, Indspire
Michael Sabia, President & Chief Executive Officer, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec
"These extraordinary leaders represent the highest standards of accomplishment, leadership, and service to their respective fields and to our country," says David Mitchell.
The honourees exemplify the Public Policy Forum's commitment to achieving greater understanding and cooperation between the public and private sectors. Honourees are nominated by members of the Forum.
The Public Policy Forum is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of government in Canada through enhanced dialogue among the public, private, academic and non-profit sectors.
