Public Policy Forum Announces Inaugural Western Dinner
Roger Gibbins, Ron Hicks, Martha Piper, and Clay Riddell to be honoured with the Peter Lougheed Award for Public Policy Leadership
OTTAWA, June 29 /CNW Telbec/ - The Public Policy Forum today announced its first ever Western Dinner to be held in Calgary on September 22nd, 2010. This special event will celebrate the tremendous contributions of Western Canadians to public policy leadership.
The dinner will feature the inaugural presentation of the Peter Lougheed Award for Public Policy Leadership. The Hon. Peter Lougheed served as the tenth Premier of Alberta, and is widely acknowledged as one of Canada's most respected leaders.
This prestigious new award will be presented by Peter Lougheed to the following recipients:
Roger Gibbins, President and CEO of the Canada West Foundation; Ron Hicks, former Deputy Minister of the Executive Council, Government of Alberta; Martha Piper, former President of the University of British Columbia; Clay Riddell, Founder and Chairman of Paramount Resources.
