OTTAWA, Sept. 12, 2013 /CNW/ - Canada's Public Policy Forum is pleased to announce the opening of a new Toronto office.
"This is an important step for the Public Policy Forum," said David Mitchell, the Forum's President and CEO. "We're increasingly focused on pan-Canadian and global issues, convening leaders from all sectors in dialogues to find solutions to complex policy challenges. A stronger presence in Toronto will help deepen our relationship with our many member and partner organizations located in the GTA, and spark new connections with national and multi-national organizations."
The Forum's Toronto office is at the MaRS Discovery District, close to universities and colleges, corporate head offices, the Ontario Legislature at Queen's Park, and world-renowned hospitals and research institutes.
"MaRS is the perfect location for us," said Paul Ledwell, Executive Vice-President at the Forum, who will be leading the new office. "It's a hub of innovation and collaboration at the crossroads of business, research and government. Inclusivity, trust and silo-breaking are at the core of the Forum's work, and we're looking forward to building on those values in this exciting new chapter in our history."
The Forum holds its Testimonial Dinner and Awards each spring at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The 27th Annual Testimonial Dinner is scheduled for April 2014.
The Public Policy Forum is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of government in Canada through enhanced dialogue among the public, private, academic and non-profit sectors.
