Public Policy Forum to honour Western leaders
OTTAWA, May 31, 2012 /CNW/ - Canada's Public Policy Forum's will hold its third annual Western Dinner September 26th, 2012, in Calgary.
This special event brings together Western Canadians from all sectors and is a celebration of exceptional achievement in public policy. Honourees at the dinner will receive The Peter Lougheed Award for Leadership in Public Policy, presented to Western Canadian leaders who have had a national impact on policy and good governance. The Hon. Peter Lougheed served as the tenth Premier of Alberta, and is widely acknowledged as one of Canada's most respected leaders.
This year's honourees are:
Don Martin, renowned journalist and author
James S. Palmer, Partner, Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer
Dr. Indira V. Samarasekera, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Alberta
Nancy Southern, Deputy Chairman, President & CEO of ATCO Group
