Public Service Announcement - Air Force Public Affairs - CF-18 Hornet flyby over Sainte-Julie Friday Français
MONTREAL, June 20, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The skies over Sainte-Julie, Quebec will roar on Friday when a Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet fighter jet conducts a flyby to kick off the 2012 Montreal PGA Championship.
The flyby, which will consist of a maximum of two passes, will kick off the opening ceremonies at about 10 a.m. on June 22. During the flyby, the jet will fly at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle in its path before resuming a higher flying altitude for the return to home base at Bagotville, QC.
Flybys by CF aircraft are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.
Canada's Air Force is proud to share in community events with flybys such as this, which allow us to demonstrate to Canadians the skills we have honed with the effective aircraft entrusted to us.
To submit a request for a flyby, event organizers can go to www.airshows.forces.gc.ca. Please note the deadline for submissions is normally 90 days in advance. For more information, please contact:
