Public Service Announcement - Invitation to D-Day and Battle of Normandy Ceremony of Remembrance Français
OTTAWA, June 4, 2014 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, and the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of Justice, will join Veterans, their families, youth, current serving Canadian Armed Forces members and representatives from the Government of Canada at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum on Friday, June 6, at 1 p.m. This outdoor ceremony will pay tribute to the Canadian soldiers who fought so bravely during the Second World War on the beaches of Normandy in the drive to liberate Europe.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this ceremony and enjoy free admission and parking at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum on June 6.
