Public service announcement - Road movements between Valcartier and Gagetown
VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, May 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Close to 80 wheeled military vehicles of all types will set out from Valcartier, in the Quebec City region, towards Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick, on May 18 and 22, 2010.
In Gagetown, the vehicles will be used for the training of about 450 soldiers, mainly from 12e Régiment blindé du Canada.
The military vehicles will set out from Valcartier at regular intervals, in convoys of 6 to 10, and travel east successively on Highway 573, Highways 73 and 20, before taking Route 185 to Edmundston. From there, they will travel south on Highway 2 until they reach Gagetown.
At the end of the training period, the Valcartier-based troops will gradually return home using the same route.
