Public service announcement - Road movements between Valcartier and Meaford

VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, June 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Close to 35 wheeled military vehicles of all types will set out from Valcartier, in the Quebec City region, towards Canadian Forces Base Meaford, Ontario, on June 14 and 15, 2010.

In Meaford, the vehicles will be used for the training of Valcartier and Ontario soldiers as part of the G-8 and G-20 Summits.

The military vehicles will set out from Valcartier at regular intervals, in convoys of 6 to 10, and travel West successively on Jacques-Cartier Nord Blvd., Road Fossambault South, Highway 40 West, Highways 640 West, Highway 13 South, Highway 40 West and Highway 401 West until they reach Meaford, Ontario.

The role of CF will be to support Integrated Security Unit who is in charge of the security for the 2010 G-8 and G-20 Summits.
