PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - ROAD MOVEMENTS BETWEEN VALCARTIER AND
SHAWINIGAN
VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Close to 25 wheeled military vehicles of all types will set out from Valcartier, in the Quebec City region, towards Shawinigan Armoury, in Mauricie region on September 8-9 and 10, 2010.
This road movement is part of Exercise LOKI and is intended to train 5 Canadian Service Battalion personnel to provide services needed during a crisis on canadian soil.
Continuously on the road, Vehicles will move successively on Jacques-Cartier N. Boul., Fossambault Route S. and Highway 40 W.
At the end of the training period, the Valcartier-based troops will gradually return home using the same route.
