Public to vote for their favourite entrepreneur in the 4th annual Get Entrepreneurial Rally Français
Make your choice online now to help find the most inspiring young entrepreneur!
MONTREAL, Nov. 6, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Held for a fourth consecutive year by the Réseau des Carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec (RCJEQ), the Get Entrepreneurial Rally has a reputation for discovering the most inspiring examples of young entrepreneurs. This year, members of the public will once again be invited to name their favourite entrepreneur. Online voting has begun and will continue until November 15 at 5 pm at www.get-entrepreneurial.ca.
As noted by Alexandre Soulières, Executive Director of the RCJEQ, "The virtual Get Entrepreneurial rally enables the general public to discover passionate young adults who have decided to use their entrepreneurial skills to the fullest and apply them to the things that matter to them most. The future presents us with two employment choices: we can apply for a job or we can create our own."
"The rally is an ideal way to discover role models," added Katherine Korakakis, Entrepreneurship Coordinator for the Réseau des Carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec and this year's spokesperson for National Entrepreneurship Day (NED). "Not only do the entrepreneurs who are showcased gain visibility, they are inspiring examples for our future entrepreneurs." Online tech columnist François Charron is spokesperson for the French-language NED initiative for the seventh consecutive year.

The Get Entrepreneurial rally is part of National Entrepreneurship Day, which has been celebrated on November 16 since 2006. The NED portal, www.get-entrepreneurial.ca, is dedicated to this day. This year's site features a "Schools" page, directed primarily to teachers and young people, which offers a number of suggestions for activities to help introduce students to the entrepreneurial culture. Visitors to the site can also learn about approximately 100 activities being held across Quebec. The main organizers of these activities and events are youth entrepreneurship awareness officers, who work throughout the year in schools and the community to promote the entrepreneurial culture to young adults aged 35 and under.
