Pure Technologies awarded new work in Australia
CALGARY, Oct. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - Pure Technologies Ltd. ("Pure" or the "Company") (TSX: PUR) announced today that its subsidiary, Aqua Environmental Pty. Ltd., has been awarded a major wastewater pipeline inspection and engineering services contract, worth up to $1.6 million, from an existing customer in Australia. The contract period is expected to be four months with the majority of the work to be completed by the end of 2013.
The project involves the use of Pure's electromagnetic inspection and leak detection technologies for a critical wastewater pipeline made up of prestressed concrete and metallic pipe sections.
The customer will also utilize the Company's engineering services for the proactive management of its pipeline assets; this is the first time the Company's Assess and Address™ (http://www.puretechltd.com/assess-address/) approach will be implemented in the Australasia region. This approach is being increasingly adopted by water and wastewater utilities as a cost-effective alternative to conventional asset replacement strategies.
