Pure Technologies Ltd. to Establish Joint Venture in China

CALGARY, April 23 /CNW/ - Pure Technologies Ltd., TSX-V: PUR is pleased to announce the establishment of Pure Technologies China Ltd. ("Pure China"), a joint venture with Balama Prima Engineering Co. Ltd. (www.balama.com). Balama Prima is a privately-held Hong Kong-based company with over 400 employees and significant business interests in the infrastructure sector in China. Pure China will represent Pure's interests in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

Mr. Jon Boon has been appointed General Manager of Pure China. Mr. Boon was born in Canada and educated in the UK. He has a degree in geology from Queen's University, Belfast and is a Chartered Materials Engineer. Mr. Boon has over twenty years' business development and marketing experience in the water industry, and was most recently Business Development and Technical Manager for Insituform Asia Limited. He is currently Chairman of the China Hong Kong Society for Trenchless Technology and the Hong Kong Institute of Utility Specialists Rehabilitation Division. Mr. Boon will report to Mr. Derek Choi, of Balama Prima, who will act as Managing Director of the joint venture. In addition to his role with Pure China, Mr. Boon will act in a business development capacity for Pure Technologies Ltd. in the Asia-Pacific region. He will be based in Hong Kong.
