Purolator shipping centres across Canada to accept cash donations for Calgary Food Bank
TORONTO, June 25, 2013 /CNW/ - To support Canadians affected by the floods in southern Alberta, Purolator Inc. is accepting cash donations at its shipping centres across the country. All donations will go to the Calgary Food Bank to help those in Calgary and surrounding areas who need the support of the food bank during this time of crisis.
"We have seen and heard first-hand the disastrous impact the floods have had on communities in southern Alberta," said Patrick Nangle, Purolator's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are committed to lending support to the Calgary Food Bank during this time of need. Collecting donations at our shipping centres complements our corporate employee fundraising initiative to help our fellow Canadians in southern Alberta, and provides anyone who wants to help an outlet to do so."
Individuals who wish to make a financial contribution can do so by dropping off funds - large or small - in donation canisters located at all of Purolator's 130 shipping centres across Canada. Alternatively, donations to the Calgary Food Bank can be made directly online at www.calgaryfoodbank.com.
